Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Review

If you can afford its premium price, Bose QC Earbuds are an excellent all-in-one solution. Apple AirPods Pro and the Sony WF-1000XM4 are strong competitors, but this bud for noise canceling is a step forward.

Premium features like automated ear-detection are included in the package. Having an IPX4 certification, these excellent sound earbuds are recommended for working out.

I feel like the search for great-sounding earbuds is a never-ending quest. If you’re an iPhone user, you’re probably thinking about the Apple AirPods Pro for its amazing sound quality, but Bose wants you to consider QuietComfort Earbuds as well.

These great-sounding earbuds are well worth the money for eliminating environmental noise and producing high-quality sound. The high cost of Bose’s noise-cancelling earbuds reflects the company’s belief in its ingenuity.

Can this product entirely replace wired earbuds? Does it have an improved sound?

Does it significantly differ from those affordable earbuds sold at affordable prices? Let’s find out in this Bose Audio Earbuds Review!

Who Is This Product For?

  • Because the QuietComfort Earbuds have outstanding active noise cancellation (ANC), they’re ideal for commuters and travelers.
  • ANC is a fantastic feature for both in-office and remote employees who may need excellent sound for conference calls.
  • If you don’t mind shelling out for a well-known brand, these earphones are worth the money.

My Experience with Bose QC Earbuds

During my test with variety of music genres, this black or white Bose QC Earbuds are good at producing realistic ambient sound. Like Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, these headphones are sleek and entertaining.

Spatial audio here allows you to listen to three-dimensional audio from compatible videos. Indeed, spatial audio improved sound quality.

Bose’s wireless earbuds were unique for their hefty and attractive design. Although Bose’s QC ear headphones have been reduced in size, they still stick out more from the ear than the majority of other options.

To my ears, these have wide soundstage that performs better than Apple AirPods. I feel it has amazing clarity and excellent sound. It has different levels of noise cancellation as well.

In addition to the ear headphones, the wireless charging case has the same matte black finish. With a damp towel, you can simply clean the casing, which I’ll need to do many times each week since it rapidly accumulates oils.

The casing has four LEDs that show how much battery life is left. It is an attractive design, to be honest. Between the pair of earbuds perforations, there’s a button I can push to manually start the pairing process.

Wireless earbuds immediately enter pairing mode when the casing is opened. Downloading Bose Music app is highly recommended for the optimum listening experience.

You are able to build a custom EQ, and alter ANC levels rapidly. With a simple double-tap on the left wireless earbuds, you can switch between your three most-used settings of ANC/transparency mode in an instant.

Which Bluetooth codecs are supported by Bose QC Earbuds?

It is similar to Bose Sport Earbuds. Both utilize Bluetooth and have a 9-meter range. You don’t have to worry about losing your connection when listening to music in the great outdoors or at home.

The Bluetooth codecs SBC and AAC are supported by the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, much like all other recent wireless Bose headphones. In contrast to Android, which has a hard time streaming in AAC consistently, this is welcome news for iPhone users. You may always force SBC from your Android phone’s developer settings if streaming quality issues become too bothersome.

What Makes Bluetooth 5.1 in Bose Special?

In comparison to Bluetooth 5.0, Bluetooth 5.1’s location accuracy has improved, making it easier for your smartphone to determine the position of your Bose wireless earphones. For example, “Find My Earbuds” would be a perfect use for this function. However, in version 4.2.4 of the Bose Music app, this option is missing.

Due to an improved caching method, Bluetooth 5.1 is also somewhat more energy efficient than the previous version. As a result, it produces faster auto-connect times.

These two standards are both part of the Low Energy (LE) specification. They are not part of LE Audio, which will be supported in Bluetooth Technology 5.1 Core Specification at the beginning of the year.

  • Awesome features and app environment.
  • Rich, crisp, balanced audio
  • Secure fit and Comfortable despite the size
  • Sweat-resistant build
  • Expensive
  • Sound signature isn’t for purists
  • Bulky
  • On-ear controls are limited

Is Google Assistant included in the Bose QC Earbuds?

Instead of Google Assistant, the Bose QC Earbuds use your phone’s default smart assistant. The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are pre-programmed with Siri on iPhones and Bixby on Samsung Galaxy.

How Long Are the Bose QC Earbuds’ Batteries Last?

During my test, Bose QC Earbuds has5 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation activated, and even after producing to a steady 75dB output. The AirPods Pro are better, but the Sony WF-1000XM4 are still better ANC true wireless headphones.

By putting the earphones in the case for 15 minutes, you can get two hours of playback. To charge the earphones entirely, you’ll need two hours of your time, while charging the case through USB-C takes three hours. The case also lets you use Qi wireless charging, but the rate is limited by the mat you choose.

Bose QC Earbuds vs Bose Sport Earbuds

Although anybody may use the Bose Sport Earbuds, they lack noise cancellation and are designed for sports, unlike the QuietComfort Earbuds that focuses more on listening experience. Because they both employ StayHear Max tips, they have touch controls and USB-C charging cases that are more similar than different.

To some, the IPX4 certification of the Sport Earbuds and QuietComfort earbuds may appear strange. There is no need to use a separate headset for work and play when you can use the same earbuds for both.

You absolutely can, but ANC isn’t for everyone. Some listeners dislike it, while others don’t want to pay for it. The QC Earbuds aren’t the most comfortable for exercise because of the added mass from the background noise cancelling technology, despite the fact that they remain in place.

Despite the top-notch sound quality, it is important to recognize and appreciate the little distinctions between us. For starters, the casing of the Bose QC Earbuds may be charged wirelessly in the event that the USB-C input fails.

In addition, the QC Earbuds (ANC on) have a little longer battery life than the Sport Earbuds, which may be due to the bigger housings. Over the noise-cancelling model, the Bose Sport Earbuds provide a significant discount of more than $100 and more ergonomic design. The noise-cancelling Sport Earbuds are just as good as the sport earbuds.

Final Thoughts: Are Bose QC Earbuds Worth the Money?

Bose QC Earbuds are the best-sounding true wireless earbuds that produce a top-notch sound. It’s true that these are expensive earbuds, but its adaptability makes up for it. Because of this, you may use it on the train to work, on the phone during a meeting, or even while you’re exercising.

The flat, clean style of Bose appeals to many, but the huge housing may not be for everyone. In comparison to some other true-wireless earbuds, the casing is somewhat large, so keep that in mind. Most of us honest nine-to-fivers can’t justify the price. Fortunately, the QC Earbuds, like other premium Bose headphones, are sure to be on sale at some point.
