Guide & FAQs on How to Book an In-Person Classe At Peloton Studios In NY Or London

The Peloton Studios are now available to the public after a two-year hiatus. Peloton Studios New York and Peloton Studios London celebrated their grand opening on August 19th, 2022, following the phase of soft reopening in June. Peloton also announced the relaunch of Studio Booking Site, which had lain dormant for a long time. You’re not the only one who has questions about booking an in-person course. This article gives a detailed overview of how to book a class and attend one in person at PSNY Studio (Peloton NYC Studio). We’ll start by answering a number of frequently asked booking questions and then guide you through the process step-by-step. We’ve put together tips and tricks for booking in-person classes with Peloton Studios.

FAQs On Booking In-Person Peloton Classes In New York & London

Please note that Peloton has made changes to its process beginning in 2023. This guide is updated to reflect the new changes (more classes, more days) that have been made.

How & Where Do I Book A Spot for A Class at The Peloton Studios in London Or New York?

There is a special website to book in-person classes, which you can find at studio.onepeloton.com. You will find a list of all classes. You can find a detailed walkthrough and guide at the end of this article.

What Is an Online Queue to Book Classes at Pelton Studios

Peloton will add a queue to its booking process in late 2022. You’ll automatically be added to a virtual queue on the days that new classes are released, which is now Thursdays. Your wait time will depend on the number of people already present. Sometimes it can be 1-2 minutes or 10-20 minutes. After your time is up in the queue, the page will be refreshed, and you will see the normal list of classes.

You’ll need to visit the website on Thursdays a bit before 12 p.m. ET to allow yourself enough time to get through the queue and book your classes.

How Much Does It Cost to Take an In-Person Class at The Peloton Studios In New York Or London?

Classes at PSNY are $35, and at PSL, they are PS25. The credit you purchase is used to reserve a spot in the class. You can buy credits at https://studio.onepeloton.com/shop. You can gift class credits by buying credits and transferring them to a friend or family member. If you have credits you won’t be able to use in the future, you can also transfer them to another person. Visit your Account Page to see your credits and classes that you have already taken or scheduled.

Do All Classes Cost the Same? Is a 75-Minute Session the Same Price as A 20-Minute Session?

Each class costs the same, regardless of the length or format.

What Days Can I Take a Class in Person at PSNY & PSL During the Week?

Beginning in February 2023, the Peloton Studio will be open for members to take classes on Thursdays through Mondays. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are reserved for coaching-to-camera.

How Far in Advance Can I Book A Class at PSNY & PSL?

Peloton Studios New York and London are currently offering classes 6 weeks in advance.

When Does Peloton Release New Classes for In-Person Booking at The New York & London Studios?

Peloton releases new classes in person for booking around 12 p.m. ET on Thursdays (it used to be on Mondays but changed it to Thursdays beginning January 19th, 2023). They will release six weeks worth of classes each Thursday. The schedule will be updated every six weeks.

If you visited the original 23rd Street Studio, you will remember that schedules were released exactly two weeks in advance, and bookings could be made one week before. Peloton wants their studios to be a destination, so they’re opening the schedule up much earlier to allow members to make travel arrangements.

Why Do All Classes Sell Out So Fast?

The studio has only just reopened, and there is a high demand for in-person courses. Classes are sold out within minutes of their availability (which is usually around 12 p.m. ET on Thursdays). In the next few months, we expect it to be easier to book a place once more people visit the studios.

Do I Select A Specific Bike or Tread While Booking? Is There A Map of The Peloton Studios In New York Or London?

Booking a Bike/Tread/Mat location is not possible. It is completely random. Your confirmation email might note that a specific spot has been assigned to you automatically, but it doesn’t really matter. In the studio, it’s essentially first come, first served as you enter. Peloton can move you at its discretion (possibly based on your height or another factor). This is especially true for the smaller yoga and strength studios. Taller people may be able to block the cameras in these studios.

The original 23rd Street Studio had a step where you used a map to choose a specific bike or tread. Peloton no longer uses this method since they reopened.

How Much Room Is Available to Book?

There are still class limits, even though there is no map for the Peloton Studios (or any other studio). Below are the capacities for Peloton Studios New York.

  • Cycling Studio: 39 Bikes
  • Tread Studio: 16 Treads
  • Strength Studio: 8 mats
  • Yoga studio: 7 mats

Below are the capacities of Peloton Studios London.

  • Cycling Studio: 22 Bikes
  • Tread Studio: 14 Treads

At the time of publication, PSL did not offer yoga classes, and strength classes were recorded without members.

Is There A Way to Tell the Specific Type of Class You’re Signing Up For?

No. Booking will only provide you with the length, modality, and instructor. No other information is available. You can check the schedule approximately two weeks before to learn more about the schedule.

What Happens If I Have to Cancel My In-Person Peloton Class?

You will receive your credit back if you cancel your order more than 24 hours before the event. However, you will not be refunded. This credit must have been purchased within a year. Originally, this limit was 12 hours before class.

Is It Limited to The Number of Classes That I Can Book on A Day or Weekend?

The limit for members is 2 Peloton classes per day or 4 classes per week. A week is defined by the time frame of Thursday to Monday. The new limits went into effect on February 20th, 2023. Waitlist bookings are counted towards your limit. You can see more details on this page.

Can I Take Back Back Classes at The Peloton Studio?

Theoretically, yes. It is important to remember that the class doors open 30 minutes before the class starts and “close” fifteen minutes before the start. If you have not checked in for the class 30 minutes prior to the start time, Peloton may begin to offer spots to those on the waiting list. The official policy states that you cannot check in for your class 1 hour prior to the start of the class.

You can only check in to both classes if Peloton allows you to do so before the 10:00 a.m. class. We’ve heard different reports about this, as it is technically before the one-hour check-in for the second class. Staff will sometimes check you in, and other times, they won’t. If your first class finishes at 10:30 a.m. and you go to the front desk for your 11 a.m. class, they may have already given the spot to someone waiting on the list.

Is It Possible to Book More Than One Spot in A Class, Or Multiple Spots, For Myself and My Friends?

This is no longer possible. The studio allows you to book only one person per Peloton Class. You cannot book more than one person into a class. You can book a class for a friend by logging into their account. They will then need to use their credit card to pay. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment due to how quickly classes fill up. See the next section if you have a large group.

How Do I Book Spots for My Group or For A Mini Home Rider Invasion at Peloton Studio in New York or London?

For group bookings – perhaps such as an unofficial home-rider invasion from a particular leaderboard tag – you can reach out to StudiosEventsNY@onepeloton.com (PSNY) or StudiosEventsLD@onepeloton.com (PSL). Peloton will contact you within 1-2 days to discuss pricing and availability. You can also contact the concierge for visitor information at StudiosConciergeNY@onepeloton.com (PSNY) or StudiosConciergeLD@onepeloton.com (PSL).

Can I Take an In-Person Class at Peloton Studios If I’m Not A Peloton Member?

Sort of. You will need to create a Peloton Account in order to book a class. This can be done for free during the booking process. You don’t have to be a member in order to book a class.

Can App-Only or Digital Members Take A Class at The Peloton Studios? Or Is It Only Available to All-Access Members?

All members are welcome to book at the studio, regardless of whether you are All Access (owners of a Peloton Bike or Tread) or App only. You will still need to sign up for a Peloton Account, which is free. The cost of a class in person is the same, regardless of membership type.

Can I Buy an In-Person Peloton Class Pack Of 5 Classes, 10 Classes, or 20 Classes, Like I Used to Be Able?

Members could purchase class credits in bulk at the 23rd Street Studio for a small discount. Peloton Studios New York and Peloton Studios London do not allow this as of yet.

How Do I Book In-Person Spots for Peloton Studios in London or New York?

The “find a course” button should be in the upper right corner of the booking website. Clicking this will let you toggle between NYC and London studios. You can also select NYC or London from the “location” box in the left sidebar of the page.

What Is the New Unlimited Studio Membership for Unlimited Rides?

The 23rd Street Studio offered a monthly membership (costing approximately $400) that included unlimited studio rides. Peloton Studios New York or Peloton Studios London are not treated like local gyms. They want a member’s experience, with the chance to meet instructors and fellow members.

Do You Need to Purchase Your Credits in Advance?

You can buy a credit if you do not have one. The booking process allows you to purchase credit at the time of checkout. You will need to enter your credit card information when you purchase the credit. It is not possible to save this information to your profile. Credits are only valid for 60 days. If you don’t know when you will visit, you should wait to purchase the credit until you have made a booking.

There Is No Button to Book Next to The Class I Want. What does that mean?

Peloton periodically adds the “Waitlist’ button next to previously full classes and more rarely brings back the “Book” option so that you can book directly and bypass the waitlist. There could be cancellations, or they have been holding spaces for something but no longer require them. You can’t set a date or time for when these are released. It depends on the studio.

What Does Booking a “Waitlist Spot” Mean for In-Person Peloton Studio Classes?

You are not guaranteed a spot, but you will be notified by Peloton if someone cancels. You are not guaranteed to get into the class.

What Happens to My Money/Credit If I Don’t Get Off of The Waitlist?

You will receive your credit back if you are not moved up from the waiting list into the class. The credit can be used to book another class within the next year.

After Adding My Name to The Waitlist, How Far in Advance Will I Know That I Got Into The Class?

It depends on the cancellations of those who booked a place in the class. This could happen a few weeks or days before the class or the morning of the class. It could also be 15 minutes prior to the start of the class (in case of a no-show).

Should I Go to The Studio If I Am on The Waitlist?

It depends entirely on your situation. Are you willing to risk a “wasted” vacation if you visit the studios but don’t make it off the waiting list? It’s worth a try if you are local or in town and have nothing else to do. We would not recommend planning a trip around the visit if you are only on the waiting list, as there is no guarantee that you will get in.

In-Depth Guide: How to Book an In-Person Peloton Class For New York Or London Classes at The Peloton Studios

If you want to take a class in-person at the Peloton studios, head to https://studio.onepeloton.com/. The welcome screen will appear. You have two choices: click “book your space” to go straight to the schedule or hit the carrot at the bottom to learn more about studios and instructors.

Once you click on the “book your spot” button, you will be directed to the primary schedule page. The initial aspect to consider is whether you are accessing the New York studio or the London studio, as it is only possible to view the schedule for one studio at a time.

Beneath the location box, you will find a range of fitness disciplines available for filtering: cardio, cycling, running, strength, walking, and yoga. By selecting specific boxes, you can customize your view to display classes exclusively from the chosen modality. For instance, if your heart is set on attending a cycling class at Peloton Studios, simply check the “cycling” box to narrow down your search and see upcoming rides.

Another filtering option allows you to sort classes by instructors. It’s important to note that only basic information is provided for each class, including the modality, class duration, and the instructor’s name. If the date falls within the next two weeks, you can visit the Peloton class schedule for additional details. This may include information on whether the class is music-focused or fitness-focused or if it revolves around a particular theme. Peloton has been progressively updating the studio booking site with more comprehensive information as the class date approaches. However, it’s worth mentioning that classes are often fully booked by the time these updates are made available.

As you browse through the roster of upcoming classes, you’ll notice that on the right-hand side, there is an indication of the class’s availability for booking. This information will let you know if the class is open for reservations, waitlisted, or fully booked. In the case of a class being completely full, there will be no clickable button displayed. To secure your spot in a class, you can only proceed with booking if you see a “book” button or if a waitlist option is available.

Once you click on the “book” button for your desired class, you will be directed to a screen dedicated solely to that particular class. On this screen, you will find essential information such as the modality, date, time, instructor, and duration of the class. Additionally, Peloton provides a disclaimer stating, “As we operate as a LIVE production studio, spot assignments are determined by us. You may be initially assigned a spot and then asked to relocate for production purposes.”

Peloton has recently implemented a significant change to their studio booking system, departing from the previous practice where members could personally select their preferred spot for each class. Going forward, Peloton will assign the spots to participants.

During the initial relaunch of the studio booking site, members were prompted to provide their shoe size or indicate if they would bring their own for cycling classes. However, this particular section has since been removed from the site.

For those without any available credits, purchasing them becomes necessary in order to book a class. The cost of classes at Peloton Studios in New York (PSNY) is $35, while classes at Peloton Studios London (PSL) are priced at £25. Credits can be acquired either as part of the booking process or in advance. It’s worth noting that if credits are purchased ahead of time, they are valid for a period of 60 days. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that you can find a suitable class within this timeframe before making the purchase.

Once you successfully book a class, you will be directed to a confirmation screen displaying the reassuring message: “You’re booked!” On this screen, you have the option to return to the schedule, access your class history, and review the studio rules. Furthermore, an email containing the booking confirmation will be sent to you for reference.

In the event that you need to cancel a class you have previously booked, you have several options available. Simply navigate to the “my classes” page and click on the designated “cancel” button next to the specific class you wish to cancel. Additionally, you can contact Peloton through phone, email, or chat for assistance with the cancellation process.

To ensure the successful return of your class credit to your account, it is essential to cancel at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time of the class. Failing to meet this timeframe will result in a “late cancellation,” leading to the forfeiture of the class credit.
