When you first begin using your Peloton, you will need to calibrate it so that it operates at its full potential. This simple and speedy procedure won’t take more than a few minutes of your time. This is the procedure to follow:

Once you have received your calibration kit, follow the instructions below to calibrate Peloton Bike:

  1. You’ll need an Allen key with a Phillips head, a 3mm Allen key, and a 4mm Allen key to remove the sweat guard and the water bottle holder.
  2. To access the console’s information menu, move the cursor to the bottom right corner, hit the three dots, and then tap “About.”
  3. Tap the upper right-hand corner of the box that appears 15 or 20 times until a sensor calibration screen displays.

  7. Simply start the 31-step calibration process by tapping “next” on the screen.

Speaking from personal experience, when I recalibrated my bike to resemble my friend’s Bike Plus, I unintentionally made my original bike more challenging. Following the retaking of my FTP (Functional Threshold Power) test, my FTP was measured at 106, whereas it was originally 164 before I relocated and encountered calibration issues. In retrospect, I had recalibrated it to be excessively easy, resulting in my FTP registering at 279 initially.
