Who Is Vladislav Grinev

Russia has been known to be a country that has lots of talented competitive swimmers. One of them is Vladislav Grinev.

Vladislav Sergeyevich Grinev or Владислав Сергеевич Гринев is a Russian competitive swimmer who was born on July 21st, 1996. He participated and competed in various international championships, including the ones when he got the gold medals and broke the national record which lasts for so many years.

National and International Career

The very first time when the world knew about Grinev’s excellence was when he broke the national record which lasted for 10 years for the 100-meter freestyle category. He made it in 47.43, which was number one in the world.

2019 FINA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

His first international championship was the 2019 FINA World Championships. And this is when he won the bronze in the 100-meter freestyle category. He successfully finished in 47.82 behind Caeleb Dressel from America and Kyle Chalmers from Australia

During the World Championships, he lead the Russian team to win the silver for the 4 x 100 medley relay with a time recorded at 47.83. In the final, his country wound up with a silver medal for that category.

2022 RUSSIAN SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Grinev continued his swimming career in 2022 when he was participating in the 2022 Russian Swimming Championships. During the National Championships, Grinev successfully snatched the gold medal for the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 47.78, which was only a second to the second position. He started strongly with a time of 22.72 at the first 50 and went on harder reaching 25.06 on the second one.
