Some people have asked what this class is. You will learn how to ride the bike with Cody Rigsby. Expect a high production level and a class format similar to an interview/variety program. Peloton shared the following information about the format:

LOL Cody is a new variety series that’s first in its kind. Following the success of XOXO Cody, Peloton’s King of Pop Culture, is back with a signature series that will break down the buzziest moments in pop culture – this time, he will be joined on stage by several special guests. Each episode will feature a guest of fame, such as Trixie Mattel and Carly Rae Jepsen. They will be riding alongside Cody and Peloton members at Peloton Studio New York for a series that will have you laughing while dancing to epic pop songs.

Four 30-minute classes will be held with Cody. There will be visits from guests who are wow-worthy, games, hot take, and other lowdowns. Peloton’s after-hours are done in the early evening, with a cup of tea. The new episodes will premiere on Thursdays in November at 7:30 PM EST and then become available for viewing on demand the same day at 8 pm EST.

These classes are not live, but will instead be recorded in the studio with Cody and special guests.

Peloton also released a press release regarding the new series. This confirms the taping format.

LOL Cody’s live-to-tape recording will feature a studio audience of Peloton Members riding along with Cody and special guests

The Peloton class schedule appears to contradict the blog post. They will be available on-demand at 4:30pm ET, with an encore at 7:30pm ET. The blog states they will drop at 7:30pm ET and become available on-demand at 8:00 ET.

In the press release, they shared some details about their plans for an interview/late night vibe with the series.

Jen Cotter, Peloton’s Chief Content Officer, stated that “when developing new programming we’re constantly thinking about new ways to engage Members while ensuring the best at-home exercise experience remains front and center.” We’ve been able do this by innovating across scenic content, podcasts, gamified workout experiences and special partnerships. LOL Cody is another example. A classic interview format will be taken to a new level by one of our most loved and funny instructors. This workout has a late-night vibe that will make you sweat and laugh and leave you with plenty to talk about afterwards. We have always found the response from our members to our new programming concepts to be very exciting and we are eager to share our plans with LOL Cody em.

Cody Rigsby started making reference to this project on social media two weeks ago. He was teasing what he was up to with a “secret project”.

For those who are curious, there will be a badge specifically for the LOL Cody series.

So, will you be tuning in for the new series?
