Saints Row IV: Re-Elected will be free to download next week, but that’s not the only positive news for many players. The developers will provide a free upgrade from the base game to the improved edition.

On December 8, Deep Silver Volition will release updates to Saints Row IV: Re-Elected for all copies of Saints Row IV. The promotion even applies to Saints Row IV: Game of The Century Edition, so everyone interested will receive an improved edition and will be able to take advantage of a huge set of DLC:

Missions:

  • Enter the Dominatrix
  • How the Saints save Christmas

Clothes and weapons

  • anime pack
  • Bling Bling Pack
  • Brady Games Pack
  • Child’s Play Pack
  • College Daze Pack
  • Commander-in-Chief Pack
  • Dubstep Remix Pack
  • Element of Destruction Pack
  • Game On Pack
  • Gamestop Weapon Contest Pack
  • GAT V Pack
  • Grass Roots Pack
  • Hey Ash Whatcha Playin? pack
  • Pirate’s Booty Pack
  • Presidential Pack
  • Reverse Cosplay Pack
  • Stone Age Pack
  • Thank You Pack
  • The Rectifier
  • The Super Saints Pack
  • Volition Comic Pack
  • Wild West Pack
  • Zinyak Attack Pack
  • Executive Privilege Pack

All other DLC will be removed and you will not be able to use them – probably the problem turned out to be licenses, so the developers decided to react and came up with a very nice idea.

Deep Silver Volition took care of transferring game states and achievements between versions, and at the same time all modifications will probably be supported. The developers have also prepared cross-play on PC, which will work between owners of the game on Epic Games and GOG.

The offer is not accidental, because this Thursday Saints Row IV: Re-Elected will be available for free on the Epic Games Store, so apparently the studio wants to make sure that every PC client will have an improved edition of the game. It is worth recalling that this edition offers gameplay in higher resolution, and the team has also improved the characters of enemies, terrain and shadows.
