  • During the summer, there was speculation from a few different sources that Olympic athlete Alex Karwoski was working with Peloton. Alex is a world-class rower who was a participant in the Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and will be an alternate in the Olympic Games held in Tokyo in 2021.
  • It was speculated that Barry’s Bootcamp teacher Katie Wang will join the Peloton squad as a member of the riders. Her experience at military academies makes her a natural pick for the rowing team. Especially because Peloton has said unequivocally that rowing training schools would be introduced. Just the week before, we gave everyone a glimpse of the rowing lessons that are now being shot with Katie at Peloton Studios in NY.  Besides that, pictures that were shot at PSNY seem to show that Katie will also instruct strength sessions.
  • A previous member of the Rowhouse coaching staff is Ash Pryor. In addition to that, she is the creator of Relentless Rowing Academy, a charitable organization whose mission is to remove obstacles that prevent BIPOC and PARA athletes from competing at their full potential in this sport. A few years ago, Ash was given a diagnosis with Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune ailment. She then explains how rowing has assisted her in overcoming the challenges posed by this condition.
