What can the new AMG C63 E Performance Hybrid do?

The sports car comes with a 2.0-liter hot hatch engine. Mercedes used this powerful 400-hp engine in its AMG 45 models. For the AMG C63, Mercedes screwed the engine to 470 hp. To this is added a 200 hp powerful electric motor. The total output thus increases to 670 hp. The maximum torque is 750 Nm.

The C-Class is actually the compact sedan from Mercedes. With the AMG C63, the German car company has managed to add an electric motor to one of its C-class models.

Technically, the AMG C63 can keep up with a BMW M3, for example. In addition, the C63 has almost 170 hp more power.

However, you no longer have to puzzle over the shape and design of the AMG C63. At the Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​in late June 2022, a moderately camouflaged AMG development vehicle, very reminiscent of the AMG C63, was officially on display at the Mercedes-AMG stand.

However, many AMG fans cannot quite get used to the idea that the new E-Hybrid as a combustion unit only has a 2.0-liter engine under the hood.

The sound is something else

The new Mercedes-AMG C63 may only have a 2.0-liter engine, but it impresses with its sound. The test drive version of the AMG C63 was filmed at the Nürburgring during a test drive.

As far as the development progress of electric cars is concerned, Mercedes is quite far ahead. With the Vision EQXX, Mercedes has managed to complete a test drive under real conditions from the Mercedes factory to the Côte d’Azur with just one charge.
