Redmi today presented a new line of low-end smartphones – the Redmi 11 Prime and 11 Prime 5G models are devices equipped with an extensive battery and mobile chips from MediaTek.

Both new smartphones from Redmi are practically twin devices – they are separated only by the SoC system used. In the basic model, we will find the MediaTek Helio G99 chip with a built-in 4G LTE modem. At the same time, the second variant is equipment using the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip, equipped with 5G connectivity.

Apart from these differences, we are dealing with identical smartphones. So we are talking about a screen with a 6.58 ” diagonal, displaying an image at a 2408 x 1080 pixels resolution with a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

Smartphones have dual cameras consisting of 50 MP and 2 MP lenses, as well as an 8 MP front camera for selfies. In addition, there is a fingerprint reader on the side of the smartphones, and an interesting fact is the presence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is also a solid battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh.

The specification is complemented by 4 or 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, as well as 64 or 128 GB of data space on the UFS 2.2 memory, expandable with a microSD card reader.

Both models will be available in two configurations: 4/64 GB and 6/128 GB. The price of the base Redmi 11 Prime model is USD 165, and the 5G model is USD 175.
