Spotify has announced the introduction of a new functionality offered by Google for Android users. We are talking about the User Choice Billing service, which gives you more freedom in paying for subscriptions.

Spotify customers using the Android application can take advantage of the new functionality of this OS, which is being introduced by Google. We are talking about User Choice Billing, or the ability to pay for a subscription using more payment options.

It is nothing more than an alternative payment system in addition to the Google Play billing system. So far, it has been available only in the beta version and in selected applications, and the alternative payment option has been made available to a small group of testers.

This feature is now available to a wide range of Spotify customers – supported markets include: European Economic Area, Australia, Japan or Indonesia.

Using an alternative payment option for the customer is also a better choice for the developer from a financial point of view. Payment processing fees are 4%. lower than in the case of transactions made using Google Play.
