Carly Rae Jepsen Joins Peloton Instructor Cody Rigsby For His New Series, “LOL Cody”

Cody Rigsby, a fitness instructor, is affectionately known as Peloton’s “Kings of Pop Culture”. He is known for his humor and sexiness, as well as his workouts in bike boot camp, dance cardio and meditation. He’s recently combined his love for pop culture with exercise in a star-studded series called “LOL Cody”. It takes place — where else! — on the bicycle. Each episode features a special guest, who rides with Rigsby along with members of Peloton Studios New York.

His next guest? His next guest? Carly Rae Jepsen, the pop icon.

Rigsby is apparently a huge fan of the “Call Me Maybe” singer. Jepsen told CITYRYDE that Cody Rigsby’s energy is what she loves. “He makes people happy, radiates joy — we both share a passion to pop music.” “I am so excited to join him and the Peloton community, for some laughs as well as a great workout.”

The episode will be available on the Peloton platform at 7:30 p.m. ET on November 10. When the 30-minute class ends at 8.30 p.m. ET, it will be available for streaming on-demand.

Carly Rae Jepsen Joins Peloton Instructor Cody Rigsby For His New Series, "LOL Cody"

Rigsby told CITYRYDE that “I couldn’t imagine ‘LOL Cody’ without an episode featuring one my favorite pop artists.” “I am so thrilled to have Carly Rae Jepsen as my special guest. While we all love her music, what’s really exciting is to have Carly as a guest on my Peloton Bike. Yes, many of her bops are on my playlist for this episode. Jepsen released “The Loneliest Time” on Oct. 21.

The series can be described as “a workout with an early-night vibe that’s sure make you laugh, sweat and leave you with something you can talk about after class,” Jen Cotter, Peloton’s Chief Content Officer, said in a press release. Peloton’s first episode of the series featured Trixie, a well-known drag queen. It premiered on November 3. The last two episodes of the series will be available on Nov. 17th and Dec. 1.

Cotter promises that “LOL Cody”, while entertaining, will also be an enjoyable workout. Each class will be offered through the Peloton bike, Peloton bike+ and Peloton app. New members can get a 30-day trial. A custom badge will be added to the profile of members who take part in the “LOL Cody” class.

In a press release, Rigsby stated that the three pillars of his life are “movement, laughter and pop culture,” which are what “LOL Cody” tries to represent. “The Peloton community needs to fix their wigs, because I’m serving famous celebrity guests and it gets so hot that you’ll need an extinguisher.”
