Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby takes us through his pop-culture hot takes, from A to Z

Alum of Dancing With the Stars, Cody Rigsby, who starts a brand new pop culture-themed training series on November 3, has strong opinions about everything from Ariel’s dad IYKYK to Zap Zum.

Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby knows what his fans are looking forward to when they join one of his Peloton bike rides: Unfiltered views on just about everything. The Little Mermaids King Triton (“a hot dad that I wouldn’t mind being part of my world” to kitten heels (“they need to go away immediately – either give me a flat or a stiletto because I don’t like things in the middle”), Cody isn’t afraid to use his humorous side while leading a workout.

It is therefore not surprising that Rigsby launched LOL Cody, a pop-culture-themed workout series, on November 3. Rigsby will chat with a celebrity guest and put them along with the Peloton class through their paces while they cycle. Carly Rae Jepsen, Trixie Mattel and other “icon-level” stars will be featured in the first two episodes. More stars will follow soon.

Rigsby, 35, says that he hopes that the element of working out and sweating under the pressure of climbing or a cadence push can add new textures to how celebrities show up. “I am excited to push them but also have a lot of fun about it because that’s how I approach fitness. We don’t take it too seriously.”

N stands for Nicole Scherzinger, Pussycat Dolls

“I think she should have had more success as a solo musician. It didn’t happen for her. It was probably the Pussycat doll drama that followed her solo career. She had it all. She was hot, she could dance, sing and knows how to perform. It’s hard to believe she didn’t have the same success as Beyonce. It’s not clear to me, but that’s my hot take.”

O stands for Olive Garden

“As a child, Olive Garden was my favorite restaurant for birthdays. You couldn’t catch me there now. I couldn’t be paid enough to travel there. No. Thank you.”

U stands for The Little Mermaid’s Ursula.

“Ursula was portrayed as a villain but she was really a businesswoman who stuck to her contracts. You can’t be mad about a woman who follows the rules and wins. Sorry, Ariel!”

LOL Cody is available on Peloton App, Peloton Bike, and Peloton Bike+ on demand starting November 3.
