Top Tips for Booking a Class at Peloton Studios

Peloton’s New York and London studios have been open for over six months since their official reopening in the summer of 2022. During this time, Peloton has made several modifications to the booking process, including expanding the studio’s operating days and implementing new limits on class availability.

Despite these changes, many members are encountering difficulties in securing in-person class bookings, as classes fill up within minutes of becoming available. This article aims to provide valuable tips and tricks for successfully booking a class at Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) and Peloton Studios London (PSL). While the following suggestions offer a broader perspective, for more detailed information, we recommend referring to our comprehensive guide that covers the entire booking process.

If you have previously attempted to book a class at PSNY or PSL, you are likely aware of the high demand and rapid class fill-up. To enhance your chances of securing a spot, consider the following recommendations:

  1. Bookings open for classes at 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursdays six weeks in advance. However, it is essential to log in at least 30 minutes before the official start time due to the online queue. The wait time in the queue depends on the number of people already present. Once your turn arrives, the page will refresh, and you can view the class schedule. It’s worth noting that even logging in 30 minutes early may not guarantee availability.
  2. Pre-booking your Peloton class credits is highly recommended since classes fill up rapidly. To participate in a class, you must purchase credits, which are used to reserve your spot. These credits can be purchased at https://studio.onepeloton.com/shop. Although these credits are non-refundable, they are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Having credits ready in advance speeds up the checkout process. However, it’s important to note that your space in a class is not secured while purchasing credits.
  3. Once the booking opens, there is little time for contemplation or weighing different class options. To increase your chances of booking a desired class, we suggest reviewing previous weeks’ schedules to get an idea of the coaches’ teaching patterns. When the schedule becomes available, be prepared to book classes as swiftly as possible. Most classes reach full capacity within minutes, if not seconds, with only a few exceptions.
  4. Take advantage of waitlists if they are available online. Many individuals who have successfully booked a class at PSNY and PSL have done so by joining the waitlist. Peloton recently extended the cancellation policy to 24 hours, allowing more time to notify waitlisted members of available spots. According to a recent video shared by Peloton, a significant majority of waitlisted members eventually gain entry into a class. However, it’s worth noting that waitlist availability is higher for cycling and running classes due to the greater number of available spaces.
  5. It’s advisable to check back during the week preceding the class. On Monday or Tuesday, a few spots tend to open up for numerous classes scheduled for the upcoming weekend. If you are local to the area or already planning to attend, this might be an opportunity to secure a last-minute spot.
  6. Local residents of the New York or London metropolitan areas can consider standby options. The waitlist for each class closes the night before, and individuals who were on the waitlist but didn’t secure a confirmed spot will be moved to the standby list. However, to have a chance at joining the class, you must arrive in-person one hour before the scheduled start time. Even if you were not officially waitlisted, you could still go to the studio an hour beforehand to try to secure a spot. Approximately 30 minutes before the class begins, Peloton will randomly select individuals from the standby list who checked in at the studio to fill any remaining open spots. Whether you were waitlisted or chose to show up, the odds of getting into the class remain the same.
