Finlay Knox is a professional swimmer from England. He was originally born in England, but moved to New Zealand when he was really young. He was only two years old at that time. Five years later, the family moved again, but this time to Canada.
International Career
His earliest swimming record was during the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics when he competed the event held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. That time, Know finally got the bronze medal for his effort in finishing the third position during the 200 meter individual medley.
2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships
In the event, Knox successfully got not only one, but two medals for different categories.
2021 Canadian Olympic Trials
2021 was the year when Knox broke the National Record for the category of 200 meter individual medley. His best time was 1:58.07, which made him qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo (which was previously postponed due to pandemic).
2020 Summer Olympics
During the actual Olympic events, Knox got into the 7th position in the 200 meter individual medley, and sadly didn’t qualify for the semi-finals.
2022 Commonwealth Games
Two years later, Know scored another winning by finishing in third during the 4×100 meter freestyle event. He also got into the finals of 100 meter butterfly and 200 meter medley, although it didn’t last long. Knox finished in 4th, missing the podium.
