Peloton on Tour in Atlanta: Instructor Experience Overview

The Atlanta leg of Peloton on Tour started with a bang on Thursday, August 17th, 2023, featuring the Peloton Instructor Experience. This awesome activity, previously a hit in Los Angeles, brought the same high-energy vibes to Atlanta. Get the scoop on all the happenings – it’s a weekend you won’t want to miss!

Members had a cool opportunity to chat briefly and snap some photos with the awesome instructors at this event. Like most of the other happenings over the weekend, this went down at the Peloton Showroom in Avalon Mall, Alpharetta, Georgia – just a hop, skip, and jump north of Atlanta. Capture the moments and enjoy the vibe!

Meet the fantastic lineup of all 6 instructors: Alex Toussaint, Chelsea Jackson Roberts, Jon Hosking, Kirsten Ferguson, Marcel Dinkins, and Matt Wilpers. Brace yourself though, because 1-2 instructors might be taking a breather during the day – keeping you in suspense about who you’ll meet.

For just $60 per ticket, members snagged their spot at this event, choosing a time window from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm ET. With 24 tickets per 30-minute slot, around 240 lucky members joined in on the Peloton fun.

As you arrived, friendly Peloton staff welcomed you outside the showroom. Stanchions formed a neat line on the sidewalk, guiding visitors to the entrance. To ensure a smooth check-in process, members confirmed their name and email, cross-referenced with a prepared list by the staff. Each attendee received a color-coded number corresponding to their designated time slot, creating an organized flow.

The color coordination made it easy to identify your time slot, with a first-come, first-served system for the assigned numbers within each slot. While waiting, attendees had the option to explore the surroundings or engage in conversations with fellow members. Peloton thoughtfully distributed branded fans to keep everyone cool during the outdoor wait.

Participants were reminded to return before their allocated time slot, at which point they lined up based on their assigned numbers. This ensured a systematic and enjoyable experience for all members attending the event.

Upon entering, the initial stop on your journey was the enchanting Photo Booth. Positioned there, you’d find a delightful group of 1-3 instructors ready to engage with you. This allowed for a brief yet charming conversation with each instructor, followed by the capture of a memorable snapshot together. Not only did the digital camera click away, preserving the moment, but members were also gifted a tangible polaroid print to carry the joyous memory home with them.

At this station, the Peloton crew had some fun props on hand. They brought along oversized prints featuring special hashtags for each instructor group, along with big prints of each instructor’s face for some playful posing.

Alongside the scenic photo settings, the Peloton crew sprinkled extra brand flair across the showroom, turning it into a festive hub to honor the Peloton on Tour in Atlanta.

We headed to the social media spot as our next stop. Tucked away at the rear of the store, hidden by a wall, it offered members a choice: a snappy shoutout video with the instructor(s) (imagine a cameo), or a fun GIF-making session with the instructor.

Now, imagine a friendly Peloton team member graciously receiving your entry card. That card, linked to your email during check-in, served as the key to unlocking a delightful surprise – a digital copy of your animated GIF sent straight to your inbox.

While strolling through the store, you’d notice little lines guiding you to each station. These lines were like friendly paths where members patiently waited for their turn at the next station.

At the last stop, we reached the station dedicated to setting intentions. Here, besides having a friendly chat with the instructor and snapping a photo, you were invited to jot down a personal athletic goal on paper.

You had the option to either place your intention on the wall or have the instructor sign it, allowing you to take the card home with you.

After completing the station for setting intentions, you were led to a special display featuring “Instructor Favorites” clothing. These were specific clothing items adored by each instructor, and you had the chance to purchase them at a 40% discount.

As I mentioned earlier, in each half-hour slot, one or two instructors would take a break. But even when they weren’t officially at their booths, you could spot them strolling around the showroom, greeting people, and snapping quick selfies.

At last, beyond the shop, there stood a little table adorned with exclusive Peloton on Tour Atlanta goodies. You could personalize it with a Peloton emblem, a Georgia peach representing Atlanta, or even your own initials.

The prices for the items remained unchanged, matching the costs we had in Los Angeles:

As members bid farewell to the showroom, they were handed a petite goodie bag containing thoughtful items. Inside were a frame for their Polaroid snapshot, a snazzy sticker, and a charming small tote bag—distinct from the larger one available for purchase.
