Peloton closed for holidays: No live classes December 23-25, 2022 And Dec 30-January 1

Peloton’s studios will be closed to the public in New York City and London for two weekends next month. This is to allow the Peloton team some holiday time. Peloton published the update on the Official Peloton Members Facebook page:

Our team will enjoy the holidays. Peloton Studios London and New York will be closed for classes from December 23 to 25 and December 30 to January 1. You can still join our scheduled Encore and On-Demand classes during this period.

Peloton likely shared this message because studio bookings are open six weeks before. This is to let members know that they won’t be able to attend classes in person during New Year and Christmas. Peloton used to close for three days on both holidays, but this year the holidays will fall on weekends when PSL and PSNY are normally open to members.

Peloton posted a message on their studio booking website stating that live classes won’t be available for bookings for two weeks. They advised members to return November 28th to book the next round.

The studios may be closed but they could still release brand new classes. Peloton released major artist series classes on Christmas Day, in 2021 (Taylor Swift), and 2020 (The Beatles). Although they haven’t yet indicated that they would do so in 2022, it is possible.

Peloton also holds Top-50 Countdown classes every year between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. During these classes, they count down the 50 most adored tracks from the previous year.

Although Peloton has yet to announce their holiday programming, they have held special classes throughout December for the last few years. One or two holiday classes are already scheduled for weekends when members are in the studio. We’ll be closely monitoring potential 2022 programming for December.
