Peloton’s Sam Yo Joins the “The King And I” Musical Cast in the UK For 4 Weeks 

Peloton instructor Sam Yo is making a comeback to his theater origins! He’s set to join the cast of the musical “The King and I” by Rodgers & Hammerstein in the United Kingdom. 

Sam happily shared the update on Instagram:

The message contains a video where Sam announces his participation in The King and I’s four-week tour. He’ll take on the part of the Kralahome, the main antagonist, and also act as an understudy for the role of the King of Siam in one performance. The tour will cover three cities. 

• Edinburgh, Scotland – Playhouse – September 12-16, 2023 

• Woking, England – New Victoria Theatre – September 26-30, 2023 
• Oxford, England – New Theatre – October 3-7, 2023 

On October 7th at 2:30 pm, Sam will take on the role of the King of Siam at the New Theatre in Oxford. To attend any show on the tour, interested individuals can buy tickets through the production website.

 

Importantly, Sam’s involvement in the musical doesn’t signify his departure from Peloton. Instead, he’s dedicating some of his time off to this theatrical endeavor. Peloton Studios London is currently closed for renovation and maintenance until September 22. 

Sam’s theatrical journey began in London’s West End in 2000. He graced the stages of the London Palladium in productions like The King & I, Aladdin, Mulan, Anything Goes, and more before leaving the theater in 2018 and joining Peloton in 2019.
