How to fix Peloton screen flashing white?

Peloton bikes are celebrated for their exceptional performance and engaging exercise programs. Nevertheless, similar to any electronic gadget, they may encounter issues that require resolution. A reported problem among several Peloton riders is the flashing white screen issue that continuously flashes white without showing any information or data. Fortunately, various solutions can help restore the Peloton bike’s full functionality.

Why Peloton Screen Is Flashing?

The reasons why your Peloton screen flashes white are multifaceted. They can be attributed to loose connections, power surges, or a necessary reset.

How to solve Peloton White Screen Flashing?

Method 1: Restart

If you experience the white screen flashing issue, the first thing you can do is restart your Peloton bike. A simple restart may fix the flashing white screen issue. To do this, hold down the power button on the back of the screen until the gadget turns off entirely. After that, wait a few seconds before pressing the power button again to turn it back on. The rebooting process usually takes less than a minute, and it’s a straightforward solution that can address many technical problems.

Method 2: Check the Wifi Connection and Network

If restarting your Peloton bike does not work, the next solution is to check your Wi-Fi connection. Poor connectivity or signal loss may cause the Peloton screen to flash white. Make sure that your bike is connected to the internet and that there are no problems with your network. If your Peloton bike is in a dead zone, you might want to try resetting your router or relocating your bike.

Method 3: Clean Up Your Cache on the Device

Clearing your cache and cookies can help solve the flashing white screen problem on your Peloton bike. However, this solution can differ depending on your browser. The basic process involves navigating to your settings, selecting “Privacy and Security,” and clearing your cache and cookies. Ensure that you follow the instructions specific to your browser to prevent accidentally deleting critical data.

Method 4: Don’t Ignore Software Updates

If you encounter a flashing white screen problem on your Peloton bike, another potential solution is to check for software updates. Outdated software may be the cause of the flashing white screen problem, which can be remedied by performing an update. To update, go to the Settings menu on your bike and select “Device Info.” Then, click “Update” and follow the prompts to ensure that your bike is up-to-date.

Method 5: Call for Support

If none of the solutions above work, it may be time to contact Peloton support. They may ask you to provide additional details about the issue, such as when it started and how frequently it occurs. They might also offer additional troubleshooting solutions that are specific to your problem. If needed, they may even arrange for a repair or replacement of your bike.

Method 6: Factory Reset

As a last resort, you can try factory resetting to fix the flashing/ blinking white screen of death on the Peloton bike+ and tread.

  • To turn down the tablet, either hold and press the power for several seconds or remove the USB cord from the port located on the back of the touchscreen. Continue to press and hold the button for turning the volume up.

  • When the Android Recovery display has appeared, you may now let go of the volume up command.
  •  Next, use the volume buttons to get to the option to Factory Reset the device.
