Path To Inversion With Kirra Michel – Handstand Yoga Peloton Training Program

Earlier today, Peloton introduced their latest training program. This marks the second installment of “The Approach,” a multi-part yoga training series. The initial offering in this series was the Power Restorative Yoga with Ross Rayburn.

The fresh addition to the lineup is named “Path to Inversion,” and it’s a two-week program led by Kirra Michel. In this program, Kirra assists members in their journey toward achieving inversions, whether it’s a handstand, headstand, forearm stand, or simply making steady progress.

During a recent Q&A session, Kirra advised members that if they’ve never attempted an inversion before, they shouldn’t anticipate mastering one in just two weeks. Instead, the program provides a solid foundation and valuable techniques to work on, allowing participants to revisit classes and steadily improve over time.

During the program launch, Kirra shared the following advice:

Complete classes 1 to 12 and revisit any class that posed a challenge. The key is to repeat these classes often, as many times as necessary, probably a few times. So, don’t be discouraged if you haven’t mastered a handstand by the end of two weeks. Adjust your expectations and stay motivated! 💪🏼

Remember, this skill isn’t a piece of cake to acquire. Two weeks might feel like a real challenge unless you’ve been practicing handstands for a good amount of time already. Instead, consider this as building a strong foundation. It’s a place to return to, a way to train your body to prepare for going upside down, whether it’s for a headstand, forearm stand, or handstand. The efforts you put in here can benefit and apply to all these different inversions.
