Leanne Hainsby, a female instructor who teaches Peloton, just revealed that she is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Since August 2022, when she received her initial diagnosis, she has been completing treatment. Previously, she had posted her story on Instagram as well as Facebook. Ben Alldis, who is also a Peloton coach, is Leanne’s fiancé, and he also posted some photos and a note on Instagram.
Leanne and Ben disclosed that they had finished a round of in vitro fertilization (IVF) before Leanne beginning chemotherapy. She has been treated with chemotherapy for a total of twelve weeks and additionally underwent surgery. Her porta cath will be removed, and then she will undergo two weeks of radiation therapy as the next step in her treatment.
When she discovered a lump in her breast, she was originally reassured that everything was Okay. But even though she is just 35 years old, she took further steps to check in her body and it was a good deicision to make. Leanne reveals that having a second opinion was the thing that ended up saving her life. The whole Peloton community, including Leanne’s other instructors, has taken to social media to express their love and support for her at this difficult time.
