Jess Sims Is Good Morning America’s New Contributor

“Believe that everything in life happens to help you grow, not to hold you back. Imagine telling 22-year-old Jess Sims, back when she was a 5th-grade teacher, struggling to get her own children’s books from Boston to Houston due to budget constraints, that one day she’d contribute regularly to @goodmorningamerica. And her first big story would feature a WOMAN-owned bookstore, @childrensbookworld, celebrating the accomplishments of a BLACK author, @36westbrook. She might have just rolled her eyes and chuckled. Sometimes, the dots of our lives only connect when we look back… and wow, it all falls into place.
