Peloton Star Wars Classes: Ride With Sam Yo & Charlotte Weidenbach – May 4th

Peloton is gearing up for an exciting new event this year. On May the 4th, they’re rolling out special Star Wars Peloton classes to celebrate “May the 4th Day,” an informal Star Wars day dedicated to the beloved movie series. If you’re not familiar, “May the 4th” is a playful reference to the iconic phrase “May the force be with you” from the movies.

But wait, there’s more! Sam Yo has spilled the beans that the May 4th & 5th classes will come with some extra surprises. What exactly? Well, that’s still a mystery. According to Sam, it’s going to be a blast! You definitely shouldn’t miss out on the 4th or 5th because these classes will be a special limited version, packed with fun ✨. And guess what? Even after those two days, you can still catch the class in the on-demand library anytime you want.

Peloton Star Wars Classes

Although Peloton hasn’t made the official announcement yet, a bunch of Star Wars classes are already popping up on the schedule. And who knows? There might be more to come in the next few weeks. Take a look at the list of Peloton Star Wars classes below, including a Star Wars Ride and a Star Wars Run. And remember, we’ll keep you posted if any more classes join the lineup!

Peloton Star Wars Ride: Star Wars Peloton Workouts & Schedule & Classes

  • 30 minutes Star Wars Ride – With Sam Yo – May 4th At 2:00am ET [Premiere On-Demand]
  • 30 minutes Star Wars Run [In German] – With Tobias Heinze – May 4th At 4:00am ET [Encore On-Demand]
  • 30 minutes Star Wars Ride [In German] – With Charlotte Weidenbach – May 4th At 1:30pm ET.

For quite some time now, Sam Yo has been championing the idea of bringing this series to life. Sam generously shared a letter he composed for Disney, outlining his vision for the ride series:

Imagine hopping onto your Peloton Bike as the opening theme roars through your speakers, filling the room with the energy of a passing TIE fighter. You settle into the saddle, ready for a Star Wars adventure as immersive as being in the Galaxy’s Edge theme park. Today, your Peloton is your Millennium Falcon, your X-wing, your Pod Racer!

In these 30 minutes, you’ll journey through some iconic moments:

From navigating the asteroid field, attempting the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, to finding a moment of recovery at the Mos Eisley Cantina, and joining the Rogue Squadron in the cockpit of an X-Wing.

I’m confident that this collaboration will be a massive hit among Peloton members and Star Wars enthusiasts alike. Just as with Star Wars and Peloton, it’s all about fostering a sense of community and bringing people from all walks of life together.

“May the 4th Be With You” Aside from sharing the letter, Sam mentioned that the road to creating this ride spanned over two years:

Creating a class that unites members and fans means the world to me 💫

I’m elated that this two-year journey is about to reach you, no matter where you are in the galaxy…

Sam Yo recently had a chat with Gizmodo, where he delved into the music that will span the entire Star Wars universe:

Sam’s ability to share this story with Disney was rooted in his dream playlist, which he curated a year and a half ago, long before it was approved. While there have been a few tweaks here and there, he believes that in those 30 minutes, he’s captured every significant theme or piece of music he wanted to include, along with subtle nods to various aspects of Star Wars. “It encompasses the prequels, the originals, bits from the sequels, references to Rogue One, and maybe even nods to The Bad Batch. These references tie the entire universe together,” Sam shared.

The Star Wars saga is now part of the Disney family – a company Peloton has been collaborating with more closely. While there were a handful of unofficial and hidden Disney classes in the past, Peloton solidified an official partnership with Disney in August 2021, which led to the introduction of “official” Peloton Disney classes. Since then, the platform has seen dozens of these classes.

While this marks the first “official” Peloton Star Wars ride, it’s worth noting that there have been other hidden gems in the past. Back in 2019, Emma Lovewell led a Halloween ride dressed as Princess Leia. The playlist featured a few Star Wars tunes, though not the entire compilation.

Are you considering joining one of the Peloton Star Wars classes? Whether it’s the Peloton Star Wars Ride or the Peloton Star Wars Run, the force is strong with these options!
